From an architectural photographer’s eye, Christie Architecture’s Mid‑Century Modern remodel in Portland is a study in spatial harmony and refined detail. The dynamic cathedral ceiling becomes a striking backdrop to the revamped fireplace wall, its new varying in depth stone tile adding visual rhythm and light, while the elegant floating black marble hearth grounds the frame. Sightlines trace the continuous flow from the open kitchen into the living space, anchored by warm whitewashed rift oak cabinetry and crisp millwork that softens clean lines with tactile presence . In each shot, the interplay of natural light, wood grain, and custom millwork speaks to a thoughtful balance—the project photographs with clarity, grace, and unmistakable mid-century soul.
